Interview Appearance Attorney for USCIS Interviews (Independent Contractor) Anwari Law Firm, PC Remote Contract $50 to $60 per hour About the Role Anwari Law Firm is a busy immigration practice handling asylum cases, family and employment-based petitions, naturalization, and humanitarian matters. We are looking for an experienced immigration attorney to cover remote appearances with our clients at USCIS interviews on a recurring basis. Appearances will be at: USCIS Washington Field Office USCIS Baltimore Field Office Arlington Asylum Office Case types include: Affirmative asylum interviews Naturalization (N-400) interviews Adjustment of status (I-485) interviews Removal of conditions (I-751) interviews This is an independent contractor (1099) position, paid hourly between $50 - $60 based on experience. What You'll Do Appear remotely with our clients at scheduled USCIS interviews Review the case file in advance and flag any concerns with our team Provide a short post-interview recap so we know where things stand and can follow up on next steps What We're Looking For At least one year of hands-on experience attending USCIS interviews with clients, ideally including affirmative asylum, naturalization, adjustment of status, and removal of conditions cases Active bar membership in good standing in any of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia Reliability and punctuality. If you commit to an interview, we count on you being there, prepared, and on time, every time. Our clients have often waited years for these interviews, and there is no margin for missed appearances or last-minute cancellations. Genuine client service. Many of our clients are nervous, and some are working through trauma. We want someone who can put them at ease while advocating effectively on their behalf.
