Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Management & Compliance:

• Ensure full compliance with Amazon fleet standards.
• Retain and manage up-to-date vehicle license, inspection, and registration documentation.
• Conduct weekly asset audits.
• Oversee daily grounding and ungrounding of vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections daily before routes to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• Manage and inspect all vehicle tires daily.
• Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness.

Maintenance & Repair Coordination:

• Schedule and manage all on-time preventative maintenance and necessary repairs.
• Proactively schedule repairs within 24 hours of notification of a defect.
• Open and manage repair orders and Amazon tickets as needed.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance with automotive repair shops, including scheduling, follow-ups, and cost control.
• Follow up with maintenance vendors daily regarding vehicle status.
• Secure parts for onsite repairs.
• Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
• Perform light maintenance tasks.

Incident Response & Documentation:

• Support incident and accident reporting, including investigation and documentation.
• Conduct accident investigations and vehicle damage documentation/tracking.

Operational Support & Training:

• Support with opening and morning dispatch as needed.
• Secure rentals to augment the fleet as required.
• Train new drivers on vehicle handling and best practices.
• Develop and implement methods to decrease costs, improve efficiency, and minimize vehicle delivery downtime.

Reporting & Communication:

• Provide daily updates to leadership on fleet status, detailing vans in service, under repair, and the total ready/available for the following day.

Experience

• Fleet management: 2 years (Required)
• Amazon DSP (operations, management or dispatch): 1 year (Required)
