The EW Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for Electromagnetic Warfare. This responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns.<br><br>As a Manufacturing Engineer within EW, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, ensuring the highest quality of production, and supporting the development and implementation of new products. You will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies on existing technologies while also developing new products and scaling to full scale production. </div> </div> <div class="section page-centered"> <h4>WHAT YOU'LL DO</h4> <ul> <li>Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain that includes Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies</li> <li>Contribute to operational excellence with a strong continuous improvement mindset and leading impactful Kaizen events</li> <li>Be a strong partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support RCCA burndowns that tackle key issues both internally and externally to EW Production</li> <li>Collaborate with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of the development process to provide DFx for smooth NPI transitions</li> <li>Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes</li> <li>Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.</li> <li>Work with contract manufacturers across various disciplines (PCBA fab, metallic manufacturing, assembly, etc.) to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development as well as at-scale production</li> <li>Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware</li> <li>Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etc.</li> </ul> </div> <div class="section page-centered"> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>Degree in a technical field preferred such as engineering, math, or a hard science</li> <li>5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to contribute to the delivery of electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment</li> <li>Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.</li> <li>Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents</li> <li>A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning</li> <li>Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li> </ul> </div> <div class="section page-centered"> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>Experience with RF Products that require system AI&T (assembly, integration, and test)</li> <li>Exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with software & firmware flashing or end-of-line testing & troubleshooting</li> <li>Software scripting experience in any language</li> <li>Current active U.S. Secret security clearance</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$129,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$171,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
