Salary range for the position is $69,218 to $99,501. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
How Will You Create An Impact
The Learning Development and Technology Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of Interior Health’s (IH) Learning Management System (LMS) to support the organization’s training and development needs. The Coordinator manages essential processes for learning development, such as governance and partner engagement, technical and operational support, reporting and data analysis, and project leadership that enables systems transition for continuous improvement of LMS functionality. The Coordinator works closely with Subject Matter Experts, Course Developers and Educators, both internally and externally, to ensure the effective implementation of learning initiatives. The Coordinator also collaborates with instructional designers to test learning for accessibility, providing guidance to developers across the organization on best practices in accessible learning design.
LMS Administration
What will you work on:
- Collaborates with the LMS Coordinator to support the effective configuration and deployment of the LMS, ensuring it meets organizational specifications and learning needs, including alignment with broader digital health systems.
- Provides expert-level support for LMS system users, addressing user inquiries and directing learning development requests.
Learning Development Support
- Collaborates with Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure optimal course deployment through the LMS, including advising on content structure, system capabilities, and interactive features.
- Leads the design and creation of standards and processes related to LMS content in line with IH Design policies, including providing guidance on integration of course authoring software.
- Tests functionality and makes minor revisions to existing learning in an e-learning authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
- Collaborates with invested partners to implement, maintain, and enhance standards for LMS content, ensuring alignment with Interior Health's Communication Policies, Accessibility Standards and Learning Design Standards. Performs regular audits of existing learning in the LMS to ensure continued compliance.
Project Leadership And Process Improvement
- Continuously assesses and enhances processes related to program enrollment, registration, and LMS usage to streamline workflows and improve the user experience.
- Provides learning consultation services to members of the organization developing their own learning or working with a third-party service provider, to ensure awareness of IH standards.
- Drives business process improvement initiatives to optimize LMS usage and efficiency. Recommends and facilitates system enhancements, ensuring they are developed, tested, and deployed according to Interior Health’s learning and development needs.
Governance And Partner Engagement
- Serves as a lead representative/subject matter expert for LMS related committees and meetings, providing strategic insights into system development, user engagement, and process improvement.
- Collaborates with internal partners and leadership teams across Interior Health to align LMS strategies with organizational learning goals and broader talent development initiatives.
- Develops and implements communication strategies, in collaboration with internal communications, to promote LMS-related initiatives and engage learners across the organization.
Technical And Operational Support
- In collaboration with the LMS Coordinator, supports optimal LMS system operation ensuring smooth functionality and resolving any system-related issues that may arise. Delegates tasks to the Learning Development Assistant.
- Liaises with external consultants to support the integration of third-party tools and platforms into the LMS, ensuring seamless learner experiences across different systems.
Reporting And Data Analysis
- Maintains the integrity of data within the LMS by performing regular system audits.
- Collaborates with assigned Business Analyst to create and analyze reports that provide insights into LMS usage and effectiveness and learner engagement, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Develops custom reports for partners across various departments, ensuring that data supports decision-making processes within learning development.
- In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
