America World Adoption Association, an evangelical Christian non-profit international adoption agency, is seeking an administrative assistant to work in our McLean, Virginia office a part-time basis. This is an in-office, on-site position and will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities may include:
1. Ongoing project-based document management – including sorting, scanning, printing, mailing and archiving confidential and non-confidential office and program/adoption-related documents.
2. Greeting visitors to the office on days assigned to work in office.
3. Answering incoming calls on the corporate phone line and answering general inquiries.
4. Shiping mail via FedEx, UPS, and USPS as needed
5. Supporting various departments such as Social Services, Country Programs and Human Resources/Accounting with various administrative responsibilities as needed.
The qualified candidate is a committed believer in Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible, has dynamic skills to communicate with prospective families the blessing of adoption, is thorough and complete in dealing with all issues and problems, is a self-starter and able to follow through on tasks, has excellent verbal/written communication skills, and has basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). A candidate must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to McLean and work in the office.
Office administration and project management experience required. Familiarity with adoption a plus. Strong skills in MS Office, organization, project management and coordination, and general administration.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
