Static Security Guard

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of building premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role is essential in preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, contributing to the overall safety of our organization. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV to oversee activity within and around the premises
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to detect any suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Control access points by verifying credentials and maintaining logs of visitors and staff
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, following established protocols
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism
• Write detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during shifts
• Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary

Skills

• Strong observational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
• Prior experience in law enforcement or security is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed
