Position Title: Junior Software Engineer
Location: Manassas VA (Hybrid - 1-2x per week on-site, otherwise remote)
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance (Preferred)
Overview
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer with a strong background in Linux environments and expertise in Java Spring, Python, Ansible, and BASH scripting. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for problem-solving, a commitment to high-quality software development, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Prior Department of Defense (DOD) experience or an active Secret Clearance is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software solutions using Java Spring and Python.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using Ansible.
- Write and optimize BASH scripts for system automation and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Linux-based systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Document software processes and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Support integration with DOD-specific systems and ensure compliance with security protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
