Job Description
GVI Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and government contracting industry leader is looking for Procurement Technicians Levels 1-14, to support our customer in Frederick and Bethesda, MD with hybrid and remote work available with client authorization.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and/or Assist in the preparation and verification of contracts and associated documentation to prepare a complete contract package
- Maintains and retrieves contract documents.
- Checks submitted documents for completeness and compliance with regulations and policy.
- Prepares, reformats and edits statements of work from multiple sources.
- Enters data into automated tracking and reporting systems.
- Completes analytical and fact gathering special projects; researches resources for information.
- Creates, updates/maintains spreadsheets and contract orders.
- Validates receipt of requested items by reviewing packing slips.
- Investigates missing/ incomplete orders. Enters data into reporting systems.
- Maintains records on closed contracts/invoices and, in accordance with regulations coordinates shipment of contract files to and retrieval from Federal Records Centers, coordinates destruction of files.
- Maintain invoice reporting logs
- Prepares paid and unpaid invoice status reports.
- Resolve invoice problems in coordination with the purchasing agent or contracting officers
- Prepares past performance reports for applicable contracts using the Contractor Performance Report database and tracks the status of reports.
- Provide information and assistance to program staff on a variety of procurement matters
- Assists with training of new procurement technicians.
- Organizes data on procurements, vendors, and government customers.
- Performs quality assurance on data related to procurements.
- Makes recommendations for improving record keeping, data tracking and data utilization.
Requirements
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Solid MS Office Suite skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
- Experience w/ teleconference platforms (WebEx, MS Teams, Zoom)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with: PRISM, Oracle, POTS, nVision is desired
- Minimum/General Experience (level 1):
- One (1) year of experience in related field. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database management
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum/General Experience (level 14):
- Ten (10) years of experience in related field. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet and database management.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a BA/BS degree.
