Ansible Developer

Our client is seeking a strong Ansible Automation Developer to join on a 100% remote, 6-month initial contract engagement. This is a large-scale organization who is looking to augment their automation journey!

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Automation, focusing on Ansible for Configuration Management, orchestration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• High-level experience with Ansible automation across hybrid environments, including deep knowledge of both Linux (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows (e.g., WinRM, PowerShell) targets.
• Deep practical experience integrating Ansible into DevOps toolchains for a GitOps workflow (e.g: using Git, CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps, and integrating with Secrets Management tools like HashiCorp Vault).
• Experience with Ansible Tower or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform is mandatory.

Combination of one or more of the following current Red Hat Ansible Certifications is highly preferred:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Managing Automation with Ansible Automation Platform (EX294)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Developing Automation with Ansible Automation Platform (EX374)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Additional certifications in Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or other Configuration Management tools (e.g., Terraform) are a plus.
• Additional certifications in related technologies are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation and Orchestration

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for various automation tasks.
• Design, implement, and manage automation workflows to streamline operational processes.
• Ensure scalability, efficiency, and resilience in automation solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
• Integrate Ansible with other tools and platforms as needed.
