On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Technology Lead for a full time opportunity. Candidates but be located locally for onsite work in Vancouver, BC.
Responsibilities
- Technology Ownership & OperationsOwn the end-to-end restaurant technology ecosystem, including system configuration, integrations, and overall performance
- Ensure reliability and stability across all locations, proactively identifying and resolving risks to minimize downtime
- Serve as the senior escalation point (Tier 2–3) for complex system issues, leading troubleshooting and vendor escalation as needed
- Drive adoption and optimization of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience
- Implementation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the implementation of new technologies, including installations, configurations, and system integrations
- Partner cross-functionally to identify pain points, assess new capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across the tech stack
- Play a key role in shaping and executing the restaurant technology roadmap, aligned with business priorities and growth plans
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, including performance, service levels, and contract alignment
- Partner with corporate and restaurant stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs and scale effectively
- Oversee budgets related to technology investments, deployments, and ongoing maintenance
- Team Enablement & Documentation
- Support and develop the support team, enabling them to confidently handle Level 1 and select Level 2 requests
- Establish and maintain clear, scalable documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
- Create structure and processes that support consistency, knowledge sharing, and long-term scalability
- Continuous Learning
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing forward ideas that strengthen our technology landscape
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3–5 years of experience managing and supporting technical systems, ideally within a multi-location or hospitality environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as an escalation point for system-related challenges
- Experience implementing and supporting integrated technology solutions (e.g., POS, payments, back-of-house systems, or similar)
- Strong understanding of system configurations, integrations, and how platforms interact within a broader technology ecosystem
- Experience working with external vendors, including coordination, issue resolution, and service accountability
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Availability for rotational on-call support, including evenings and weekends
