Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including preventative care,restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments, providing chairside support with precision and care.
  • Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to promote overall dental wellness.

Duties

  • Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.
  • Conduct four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Knowledge of general dentistry practices and infection control standards is essential.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental
