Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including preventative care,restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments, providing chairside support with precision and care.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to promote overall dental wellness.

Duties

- Maintain infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.
- Conduct four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices and infection control standards is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques and comfortable with advanced technology like 3D scanners.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
