Summary

This role is responsible for providing regulatory support in areas including licensing, artwork approval, and ingredient approval for R&D. The objective is to make these processes faster, simpler, and smoother.

Responsibilities

• Labelling & Licensing:
• Approval of artworks (Primary, Secondary & Tertiary packs) with respect to FSSR & LM requirements.
• HO & Import license compliance - Annual renewal & filing of returns.
• Support all units for their license renewal on time in full.
• Regulatory Advocacy:
• Review draft/new regulations & highlight impact on the product portfolio to the concerned stakeholders.
• Support new opportunities for future innovation with a proactive solution-driven approach.
• Regulatory Validation & Compliance Support:
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards (Food additives) Regulations for ingredients and additives like colors, flavors & processing aids.
• Regulatory substantiations of pack claims and pictorials, promotional artworks adhering to timelines.

Requirements

• Masters in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a regulatory role for the alcobev or other food & beverage industry.

Required Skills

• Technical expertise including a basic understanding of food regulations FSSAI & LMR.
• Knowledge of food additives, ingredients, and their applications.
• Understanding of analytical & microbiological parameters and their limits.
• Good written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of alcobev regulations and interpretations.
• Ability to be on the lookout for new rules/amendments that can be smoothly incorporated by the organization to remain compliant.
• Keen to learn and interpret rules and regulations with a strong attention to detail.
