Job Title: HR Coordinator – Total Rewards

Industry: Healthcare / Medical Technology

Location (City, State): Leesburg, VA (Hybrid)

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $25 – $27 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote)

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support total rewards and HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus heavily on administrative HR functions including payroll updates, benefits coordination, and employee data management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and thrives in a high-volume, service-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contact for employee and manager inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation and system access coordination
  • Maintain and update employee records within HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with payroll changes such as deductions, updates, and adjustments
  • Support benefits administration including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee questions
  • Track and assist with leave of absence processes including FMLA and other leave types
  • Generate reports and assist with audits and compliance-related activities
  • Coordinate credentialing requirements and ensure documentation is up to date
  • Contribute to process improvements and assist with HR-related projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, payroll, benefits, or a related administrative role
  • Exposure to total rewards functions including compensation, payroll, or benefits
  • Working knowledge of HR processes and employment regulations (FMLA, COBRA, ACA)
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (such as Workday, ADP, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments preferred
