Billing Specialist
Fairfax, VA
Salary range: $85-90K / year
Addison Group's client is searching for a Billing Specialist (focused in Government Contracting) based in Fairfax, VA. This role is hybrid with a conversion salary in the 85-90K range.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit invoices in accordance with government contract terms (Cost-Plus, Fixed-Price, T&M).
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidelines, and other government regulations.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve invoice issues.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain detailed records for audits and financial reporting.
- Work with project managers, finance teams, and government agencies to ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of billing experience in the government contracting industry.
- Knowledge of FAR, DCAA compliance, and government invoicing portals (WAWF, IPP, etc.).
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or other government accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
