Job Description
Location: Within Canada (Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver preferred)
Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Business Developer to hunt and acquire new enterprise and mid-market customers for Activeo’s Customer Engagement portfolio. This role is 100% focused on new logo acquisition, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure, and working closely with presales, marketing, and delivery teams to position Activeo as a trusted partner in customer engagement transformation. The ideal candidate is a true hunter with strong business acumen, experience selling complex B2B solutions, and a passion for customer experience, contact centers, CRM, and digital engagement platforms.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition (Hunter Role)
- Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new customer opportunities within target industries and accounts
- Build and execute a structured hunting strategy (account-based selling, outbound campaigns, partner referrals, events)
- Drive new logo acquisition aligned with Activeo’s growth objectives
Sales Ownership & Deal Execution
- Own the full sales lifecycle: discovery, value positioning, solution design (with presales), negotiation, and closing
- Lead customer engagements with C-level and senior stakeholders (CX, IT, Digital, Operations, Sales)
- Develop compelling business cases and ROI-driven proposals
Customer Engagement Portfolio Focus
- Sell Activeo’s Customer Engagement solutions, including:
- Contact Center & CCaaS platforms
- Digital channels, AI, automation, and analytics
- Position Activeo as a strategic advisor, not just a system integrator
Pipeline & Forecast Management
- Build and maintain a strong, healthy sales pipeline
- Accurately forecast revenue and report progress using CRM tools
- Track opportunities, risks, and next actions with discipline
Collaboration & Ecosystem
- Work closely with presales, delivery, and partner teams
- Leverage technology partners (e.g. CCaaS, AI vendors) to accelerate deal velocity
- Contribute market feedback to refine offerings and go-to-market strategy
Required Experience & Skills
Must-Have
- 3+ years of experience in B2B business development or enterprise sales
- Proven track record in hunting and closing new accounts
- Experience selling complex solutions (CCaaS, SaaS, Customer experience, CRM, digital transformation)
- Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
- Ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Customer Engagement / Contact Center
- Exposure to vendors such as Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, Amazon Connect, Genesys, Cisco, etc.
- Knowledge of AI, automation, and data-driven customer experience use cases
- Experience working with system integrators or consulting firms
