Software Engineer - Backend & Platform (Volunteer -> Equity Path)

We’re building a system that is useful, ethical, and non-addictive — early stage, high ownership, no bureaucracy.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape the core of the platform.

This is not a task-execution role. You’ll be making foundational decisions on how the system is designed and evolves.

You’ll work directly with the founder and CTO.

• Backend architecture and API design (Python + FastAPI)
• Data modeling and system structure (PostgreSQL)
• Early AI-driven workflows (LLM integrations, simple pipelines)
• Technical direction for scalability and maintainability

• Strong backend experience (Python or similar)
• Proven ability to design systems, not just implement features
• Comfort making decisions with incomplete information
• High ownership mindset — you build, decide, and iterate

• Experience with AI/LLM-based features
• Early-stage or startup experience
• Interest in productivity, behavior, or mental wellness

• ~5–10 hours/week
