Job Title: Cognos Administrator

Location: Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore

Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for a Cognos Administrator with around 2 years of experience to manage and support IBM Cognos environments. The candidate will be responsible for system administration, performance monitoring, user management, and ensuring smooth reporting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain IBM Cognos BI environment

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

Manage users, roles, and security within Cognos

Handle deployment, migration, and upgrades of Cognos reports and packages

Support report developers and business users

Maintain system documentation and standard procedures

Perform regular system health checks and backups

Work with database and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of IBM Cognos BI architecture

Experience with Cognos Administration (Cognos Analytics / BI)

Understanding of report deployment and package management

Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers

Knowledge of SQL and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)

Basic troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

Good to Have:

Experience with Cognos upgrades or migrations

Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python)
