Compliance Analyst

Job Description

1. Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including legal and regulatory research, documentation of findings, risk analysis, and policy development.

2. Requires excellent reading comprehension of technical and regulatory documentation.

3. Conducts research using information from state regulatory sites and other databases.

4. Assists with risk review programs across all business lines, collaborating with Quality Control, Legal, and Business Units as needed.

5. Documents all research and verification efforts.

6. Reports and documents variances from company policies and procedures, working to resolve issues.

7. Recommends modifications and improvements to systems, procedures, and processes.

8. Supports the Compliance VP in monitoring emerging risks and regulatory compliance matters, staying current on changes in laws and regulations.

9. Conducts audits to ensure compliance with applicable licensing laws.

10. Assists the Compliance VP and the training department in developing and delivering training programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

11. Helps implement programs and initiatives to enhance compliance awareness.

12. Maintains compliance risk assessments.

13. Tracks the completion of corrective action plans by Business Units and follows up when necessary.

14. Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable US laws and regulations.

15. Develops, implements, and monitors programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

16. Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root causes, and provides insights into business or project teams.

17. Performs other duties as assigned by Compliance VP.
