Senior Oracle Cloud (OCI) Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Acalvio Technologies, you will play a crucial role in developing and scaling core components of our production-grade SaaS platform across various cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining essential SaaS platform components
• Developing backend services and APIs for cloud orchestration and platform functionality
• Building and managing Infrastructure as Code (preferably using Terraform)
• Working with cloud services related to compute, storage, IAM, networking, and event systems
• Improving system scalability, reliability, and observability
• Contributing to multi-cloud architecture and expansion efforts
• Implementing and enforcing secure design and operational practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, security, and platform
• Troubleshooting complex issues in distributed cloud environments

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• 610+ years of experience in backend or cloud engineering
• Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture fundamentals, IAM and security models, networking, and programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform), microservices, and API-driven architectures
• Experience in building and operating production systems at scale

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working across multiple cloud providers and familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Knowledge of containers (Docker) and Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and observability tools
• Basic to intermediate understanding of cloud security fundamentals and prior experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, or deception technologies
• Strong engineering fundamentals, ability to work across layers, and a practical mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and security
• Nice-to-have skills include experience with multi-cloud architectures, cybersecurity products, or platforms, and deploying software in customer-owned cloud environments.
