Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager – AP & AR to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. The candidate will be responsible for carrier payments, customer invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and maintaining financial accuracy across daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with operations, management, and external stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP)

  • Process and verify carrier/vendor invoices accurately
  • Manage timely carrier and vendor payments
  • Maintain AP aging reports and payment schedules
  • Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate with operations team regarding load approvals and documentation
  • Maintain accurate payment records and supporting documents

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate customer invoices and billing statements
  • Follow up on outstanding collections and overdue payments
  • Maintain customer ledgers and AR records
  • Prepare AR aging and collection reports
  • Resolve customer billing disputes professionally
  • Ensure timely collections and proper cash flow management

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries
  • Maintain accounting records and documentation properly
  • Coordinate with management for reporting and operational support
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
  • Support internal audits and financial reviews

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AP & AR within logistics/freight industry
  • Strong understanding of freight billing, carrier payments, and customer invoicing
  • Good knowledge of reconciliation processes and payment cycles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software
  • Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines efficiently
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • Prior experience in logistics, trucking, freight brokerage, or transportation industry preferred
