Hardware & Network Technician

A Hardware and Network Technician is the backbone of an organization's IT infrastructure, responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining both the physical computer devices and the networking systems that keep the business securely connected. • Desktop/Laptop Deployment: Set up, deploy, and configure new PCs, Macs, and mobile devices for end-users.
• Repairs & Upgrades: Replace faulty hardware components (e.g., RAM, motherboards, hard drives, power supplies) to minimize downtime.
• Peripheral Setup: Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, biometric devices, and audiovisual (AV) equipment.
• Inventory Management: Track, document, and manage the lifecycle of hardware assets, cables, and replacement parts. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]

Network Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, install, and maintain physical cabling (copper and fiber) and wireless infrastructure. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
• Device Configuration: Install and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and modems. [1, 2]
• Performance Monitoring: Identify network bottlenecks, test data exchange, and evaluate system efficiency for seamless local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) operations. [1, 2]
• Security & Backups: Enforce network security by installing antivirus software, managing firewalls, and establishing data backup protocols. [1, 2, 3]

Troubleshooting & Support

• Fault Diagnosis: Analyze and resolve hardware failures, system crashes, and internet connectivity issues.
• User Support: Provide both on-site and remote technical assistance to co-workers and clients.
• Vendor Coordination: Escalate complex hardware/network issues to external vendors for warranty repairs or specialized support.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network layouts, IP configurations, and hardware maintenance logs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
