UI Frontend Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a UI Frontend Developer to join a federal technology program supporting the development of modern web applications located in Ashburn, VA. The UI Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance user interfaces using modern Angular frameworks while collaborating with backend and microservices teams to deliver scalable, secure, and responsive web solutions. This role is fully onsite in Ashburn, VA!

Responsibilities for the UI Frontend Developer include:

• Design and develop front-end applications using Angular (version 12+) to support enterprise and federal program initiatives
• Build and maintain reusable UI components, libraries, and NPM packages to support scalable application development
• Optimize UI performance, layout design, and component rendering to meet stringent application performance requirements
• Develop responsive interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Flexgrid), SASS, and modern CSS frameworks
• Implement state management solutions using NgRx to support application scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate with backend teams supporting microservices architectures and API integrations

Qualifications for the UI Frontend Developer include:

• 5+ years of front-end development experience, including recent experience working with Angular (version 12 or higher)
• Strong experience with HTML5, JSON, CSS3, SASS, and component-based UI architecture
• Experience developing reusable components, design systems, and front-end libraries
• Familiarity working within microservices-based application environments
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Must be a United States Citizen due to federal program requirements
• Must have an active CBP BI clearance or the ability to obtain one

Compensation for the UI Frontend Developer includes:

Salary Range: $145,000 – $165,000 depending on experience
