Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform order picking with warehouse management system tools to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in warehouse management tasks such as inventory control, stock replenishment, and maintaining organized storage areas.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation of all machinery.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate heavy equipment while practicing safe handling techniques for heavy lifting and materials handling.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, equipment usage, and safety checks to support warehouse distribution processes.

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking, inventory tracking, and shipping & receiving processes.
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling environments demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments or inventory levels.
• Experience supporting warehouse supervision or team leadership roles is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload activities.
