Job Description
Great management opportunity working at the highest level of clinical care in the state’s Children's System of Care! Work in a strong team environment, and also earn clinical hours/skills if you are an intermediately licensed professional. We have flexible hours to meet your needs for on-call/weekends and guidance by a wonderful psychiatric and medical support team.
The program director will always be involved in direct services to clients such as individual work, family engagement at our program/virtually, and group therapies.
Job Duties:
- Lead the interdisciplinary team; assessing treatment needs; coordinating treatment activities and input and or developing of treatment plans
- Assist on a regular basis to meet contractual requirements by providing individual and group therapy to residents
- Create and assist in implement various clinical, psycho educational and allied groups
- Mentor other staff members on the therapeutic approach and provide clinical supervision
- Ensure clinical supervision is provided to all clinical staff
- Make recommendations in hiring, disciplinary action, promotion, and termination
- Develop yearly program goals and objectives geared at program enhancement.
- Provide supervision and consultation to both licensed and certified social workers or nurse (supervision responsibilities are according to licensure)
- Responsible for staff development by ensuring coordination and completion of providing in-service training, training required by licensing agency and Core Competency training.
- Must cooperate with the licensee and the applicable State department or division licensing unit with any legally mandated inspections or investigations
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of experience working with the adolescent population, specifically the psychiatric population
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Master’s Degree-in a counseling field
- A team player with great communication skills
- Time management and organization skills
- Familiar with Nurtured Heart Approach a plus
