Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled Journeyman/woman Pipefitters & Apprentice Pipefitters to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in various settings.

Work conducted at 2 locations between Fort Saskatchewan Yard & CNOOC Long Lake site (Anzac, 30 min south of Fort McMurray) starting ASAP, accommodations provided. Day Shifts and Night Shifts. Shifts are 6 & 1s 10 hour days in the Fort Saskatchewan Yard & Site Work is a Mandatory 24-4 (12 Hour Days).

Duties

  • Rig, fabricate, and build piping systems according to specifications
  • Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or machinery
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
  • Weld or solder pipes and fittings together
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper installation of piping systems
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter is required
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths
  • Familiarity with using calipers and other measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and threaders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
