Manufacturing & Production Supervisor – Saddle Department

The Manufacturing & Production Supervisor –Is responsible for managing Saddle departmental production operations and personnel to ensure daily objectives and customer requirements are consistently met. This role involves overseeing all aspects of production activities, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting a safe and compliant work environment.

Work Environment:
This position operates in both a climate-controlled office and a manufacturing plant setting. Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds and extended periods of exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments.

Shift Requirements: First Shift Operations. Location: 30 Globe Avenue Texarkana, AR  71854

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Responsible for supervising all employees within their area of responsibility to achieve daily production demands in the most efficient manner possible.

  • Responsible for evaluating each employee in regard to productivity, attitude and initiative.

  • Must assure compliance with all company policies and take disciplinary action when required in a fair and equitable manner.

  • Must assure that individual and departmental efficiencies and utilization goals are sustained.

  • Must assure that all production schedules are met to maintain a 97% minimum “On Time Delivery” level.

  • Must assure that all safety and environmental standards are maintained to the highest level.

  • Must communicate with all levels of management and supply production demand data as required by all levels of management.

  • Must maintain accurate attendance information for each employee under their responsibility.

  • Must assure that each employee receives the proper training with regard to Machine Operation, health and safety.

  • Must adhere to all “Articles and Sections” of the collective bargaining agreement with the USW.

  • Must maintain a clean and orderly production area.

  • Participate in training activities, both on and off site.

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree desired or equivalent applicable work experience.

  • Analytical abilities sufficient to handle all issues associated with supervision.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with employee issues and concerns.

  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and operations.

  • Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement.

  • Must be able to handle confidential information and project assignments.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Must be good and effective with written and verbal communications.

DAY IN THE LIFE: the working environment is both an indoor climate-controlled office and plant manufacturing environment. The physical demands may include but are not limited to occasionally lifting up to 35 pounds, and prolonged exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.
