Job Description
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Develop engineering solutions for repairs & modifications of aircraft and clean power generation technologiesincluding: component & system conceptual design, 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, technical instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of systems and components, based on initial skill set and ongoing training / development. This may include simulations for static stress, dynamics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and air/fluid systems.
- Coordinate engineering projects to obtain certification of designs, including: project management, vendor/customer communications, testing programs, and preparation of required technical reports.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas through active participation at conferences, trade shows, and various publications: structures, power and propulsion units, powertrain, dynamic components, hydraulic systems, avionics, additive manufacturing, metallurgical & manufacturing processes, analytical modeling, etc.
- Streamline internal working procedures& and introduce mistake-proofing strategies through continuous development and automation
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- B.Eng or M.Eng Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 2-20 years experience
- P.Eng License is preferred
- Understanding of engineering drawing standards, including GD&T
- Experience with analytical simulation tools (FE analysis, CFD, Heat Transfer, Electrical network, etc.)
- Experience with Solidworks 3D CAD (or equivalent)
- Experience with Power and Propulsion systems is preferred
- Understanding of current trends in additive manufacturing & hybrid electric vehicles
- Proficient with and has experience using advanced functions in MS office

- Enjoys travel and works effectively in a variety of work settings (office, customer/vendor on-site, trade shows, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
