Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area for a German Language Teacher working across partner schools.

The teacher will conduct offline German language classes, delivering age-appropriate lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating instructional materials, assessing student progress through assignments and tests, and maintaining accurate academic records.

The role involves collaborating with school leadership and other teachers on curriculum implementation, participating in staff meetings and school events, and providing constructive feedback and support to learners.

The teacher is expected to foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that encourages cultural awareness and respect for the German language and literature.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to adapt methods to different age groups and proficiency levels.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Education practices, including designing structured, outcome-focused lessons and assessments.
• Knowledge of Literature, especially German literature and culture, to enrich classroom discussions and learning materials.
• Fluency in German (speaking, reading, and writing), with clear and effective communication skills in English.
• Relevant degree or certification in German language, Education, or a related field; formal teacher training is an advantage.
• Experience teaching in school settings, preferably CBSE/ICSE or equivalent boards, with familiarity in classroom management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, engage with parents or guardians when needed, and maintain professional conduct.
• Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
