IT Networks Installer & Field Tech / Support Specialist

Please Note: Applicants with no professional experience need not apply. We are strictly seeking an experienced technician. Wages dependent on skill level and experience.

Responsibilities==================

  • Computer network installs and service. More specifically device installs and repairs requiring expertise in both computer networking and general handyman skills. This is highly physical work that includes pulling network cable, terminating cables, testing cables, diagnosing network issues, labeling, cable management organizing, installing various devices including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, IP cameras, access control devices, etc.
  • Utilize our RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) System to help support and maintain a several hundred Windows workstations/servers. Bonus: Help us take our RMM and PSA systems to the next level through excellent deployment and scripting to automatically keep client PCs and Servers humming to perfection.
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on managed servers and workstations
  • Computer upgrades, repairs, installations and service
  • Windows Server installs and service
  • Provide thorough documentation of all work performed
  • Coach customers on proper use and maintenance of hardware and software
  • This job is primarily onsite (at Client location) work. Position includes working an average of 3-4 evening per month to perform work outside of business hours. Flexibility is available in scheduling hours. A minimum availability of 30hrs/week is required to apply. Full-time hours are available.

Requirements==================

  • Professional experience in computer network cabling and device installation work.
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Computer Systems Technology or Tradeschool ticket/diploma in a field directly related to computer networks and/or wiring.
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in client/server networks
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting hardware, peripherals, software, operating systems and networking
  • Proficiency in software installations and upgrades
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Current valid driver’s license and person vehicle to commute between client sites
  • A sense of humor
  • Professionalism

  • MCSE or higher Microsoft certifications
  • Work Experience with Direct Customer Interaction

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$33.00 per hour
