For more information, visit&nbsp;<a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://wpp.com/__;!!JboVxjCXSME!N9KGoZIn5nCC-uOWhEdE-ChrrJuf6TgkLzNNkLaW9BExJsVqZZ_hMSmGbARJ0tdBOnKYM7kEbv5L3ncUpg7-6uEPNdY$" data-outlook-id="6ded86b6-cde3-4e48-958d-34727f881edd">WPP.com</a>.</p></div><p>Data Engineer<strong> </strong>is responsible for the successful delivery of business intelligence information to the entire organization and is experienced in BI development and implementations, and data warehousing.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>What you’ll do</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Creating data models, performing ETLs and validating results with business representatives</li> <li>Manage data for BI solutions and automate data collection and management.</li> <ul> <li>Builds SQL ETL routines to move, cleanse and prepare data for reporting</li> <li>Create and manage Data pipeline in Azure and GCP environment.</li> <li>Setup data warehouse in Azure or Google cloud</li> <li>Design and develop databases and perform data extraction</li> <li>Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements.</li> <li>Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL</li> <li>Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements</li> </ul> <li>Assemble reporting insights and develop executive summaries and trend reports</li> <ul> <li>Spot trends and data anomalies</li> <li>Provide insights and suggested ways to improve performance</li> <li>Develop forecasts and suggest testing strategies.</li> </ul> <li>Develop and prepare a schedule for a new data warehouse</li> <li>Analyse large databases and recommend appropriate optimization for the same</li> <li>Administer all requirements and design various functional specifications for data</li> <li>Evaluate all codes and ensure the quality of all project deliverables</li> <li>Monitor data warehouse work and provide subject matter expertise</li> <li>Work across various international clients, from different countries, industries, and participate in the entire BI lifecycle, focusing on reporting, data migration and dashboards.</li> <li>Work cross functionally across the project in an Agile methodology to complete user stories within the assigned sprint.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>What you’ll need</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Technical skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience with SQL and can write complex queries</li> <li>1+ years of experience in Azure / GCP or any other cloud data Technology.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of Relational Database and SQL Language (Data Warehouse modelling)</li> <li>Expert knowledge of Extraction, Transformation and Loading</li> <li>Good knowledge of Dimensional Modelling and development with BI tools</li> <li>Writing stored procedures/function/triggers and optimizing database queries</li> <li>Intermediate or better proficiency in Power Query</li> <li>Experience with any of the various computer languages, programs, and scripting languages such as Python, R, Bash etc would be a plus.</li> <li>Experience working with any database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, any cloud database etc.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Soft skills required for all positions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A master at transferring data into insights as well as telling a compelling story</li> <li>A curious mindset with critical thinking, keep yourself on top of industry changes before they impact our clients</li> <li>Great presentation and delivery of insights through client-servicing, excellent verbal and written communication</li> <li>A self-starter, proactive, who identifies milestones and potential blockers and is able to solve them with minimum supervision</li> <li>Be a data ambassador, foster knowledge sharing across team members regionally as well as locally for more junior / interns</li> <li>A self-starter, proactive, who identifies milestones and potential blockers and is able to solve them with minimum supervision</li> </ul> <p><span data-teams="true">#LI-FA1</span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Why work here:&nbsp;<br></strong><span data-teams="true">At WPP Production, you’ll help shape the future of content production at a truly global scale.
