Position Information:
The PTA/OTA is responsible for providing assistance to the professional staff by performing designated acts of patient care, as well as performing departmental housekeeping functions.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist the therapist in the preparation, and delivery of treatment for patients including exercise programs, ambulation, ROM, etc.
2. Perform Outcome Measurement Assessments and document.
3. Educate clients on assistive devices and carry out ADL retraining programs.
4. Maintain the basic departmental supplies on a daily or weekly basis.
Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Diploma/Degree from Accredited PTA/OTA program
- Excellent assessment and treatment skills
- Ability to motivate and educate clients through the rehabilitation process
- Accurate recording and reporting skills
- Excellent team communication skills
- Innovative and enthusiastic
- Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check.
- Internal candidates must have satisfactory attendance and performance appraisal in current position.
- Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning.
- Reliable and punctual
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relation skills.
- Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence.

Salary Range: $30.88/hr - $32.12/hr
