Job Description

Wireless City is looking for driven, goal-oriented individuals ready to start their career in B2B sales as a Sales Development Representative (SDR). This is a junior sales role designed to develop future Account Executives (Business Solutions Experts) through structured training, coaching, and real sales experience.

In this role, you will focus on prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development, building the foundation skills needed to progress into a full closing sales role. If you are competitive, motivated, and eager to grow into a high-earning sales career, this is the opportunity for you.

Sales experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right person.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As an SDR your primary focus is building opportunities for the sales team while developing your own closing skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Making 60–100 outbound prospecting calls daily
  • Identifying potential business customers
  • Generating qualified meetings and opportunities
  • Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • Learning TELUS business solutions including: Mobility, Business Internet. Security solutions, Business Connect, Fleet tracking
  • Conducting discovery conversations to understand business needs
  • Setting qualified appointments for Account Executives
  • Managing CRM and funnel activity
  • Developing sales skills through coaching and training
  • Working toward promotion into a closing sales role

What You Need to Succeed

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Comfort making outbound calls daily
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, CRM tools)
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
  • Desire to learn structured sales processes
  • Ability to follow coaching and apply feedback

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Previous outbound calling experience
  • Retail or customer service sales experience
  • Door-to-door or canvassing experience
  • Telecom experience
  • Experience working toward KPIs
  • CRM or pipeline management exposure

Compensation

  • Base salary + commission
  • Performance bonuses
  • Promotion earning potential into AE role
  • First year expected earnings: $50,000 – $65,000
