Role Overview:
As a Software Developer at Wipro Limited, your role involves designing, testing, and maintaining software programs for operating systems or applications to be deployed at client ends. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the software meets 100% quality assurance parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements and design of the product/software
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes
- Investigate problem areas throughout the software development life cycle
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and availability
- Analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible designs
- Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts for detailed investigations
- Perform coding and ensure optimal software/module development
- Develop and automate processes for software validation by designing test cases/scenarios/usage cases
- Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces
- Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status
- Coordinate with the team on daily project status and progress
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability
- Report quality risks to concerned stakeholders
- Report status and focus on customer satisfaction with respect to project execution
- Capture all requirements and clarifications from the client for better quality work
- Take feedback regularly to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements
- Document and demonstrate solutions through various means
- Ensure good quality of interaction with customers
