As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist for lithium-ion battery components, your role involves identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, establishing strong relationships, and managing importation processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for lithium-ion battery components and logistics partners.
- Conducting supplier and logistics vendor audits to ensure quality and reliability.
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable deals.
- Monitoring market trends and staying updated on import/export laws and regulations.
- Coordinating with suppliers and logistics providers to manage the importation of goods.
- Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and standards.
- Managing customs clearance processes to prevent delays.
- Maintaining accurate records of import transactions and documentation.
- Monitoring inventory levels and working with the inventory management team to forecast demand.
- Optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Preparing regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and importation, preferably in the electronics or battery industry.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.
