As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist for lithium-ion battery components, your role involves identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, establishing strong relationships, and managing importation processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for lithium-ion battery components and logistics partners.
  • Conducting supplier and logistics vendor audits to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable deals.
  • Monitoring market trends and staying updated on import/export laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and logistics providers to manage the importation of goods.
  • Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and standards.
  • Managing customs clearance processes to prevent delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records of import transactions and documentation.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and working with the inventory management team to forecast demand.
  • Optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Preparing regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.

Qualifications required for this role include:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and importation, preferably in the electronics or battery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.
