Senior Real Estate Development Manager

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Real Estate Development Manager to lead high-impact development projects from inception to completion, operating within a fully remote capacity. This role is responsible for identifying new development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, securing financing, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of real estate development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. The Senior Manager will manage project budgets, timelines, and external consultants, including architects, engineers, contractors, and legal advisors. You will play a crucial role in navigating zoning regulations, obtaining permits, and ensuring projects align with market demand and investment objectives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, lenders, government authorities, and community stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of real estate markets, financial modeling, and project management principles. Given the remote nature of this role, exceptional self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in virtual communication and project management tools are critical for success. Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate new real estate development opportunities. Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, market analyses, and financial modeling. Secure project financing through relationships with lenders and investors. Manage all phases of the development process, from acquisition to disposition. Oversee project design, planning, and entitlement processes. Select and manage external consultants, contractors, and vendors. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Navigate zoning laws, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and community groups. Mitigate project risks and resolve complex development challenges. Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and real estate best practices. Drive project profitability and maximize asset value. Qualifications: Master's degree in Real Estate Development, Finance, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in real estate development, project management, or a related field. Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex real estate development projects. Strong understanding of real estate finance, investment analysis, and market dynamics. Expertise in project management methodologies and tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a remote setting. Proficiency with real estate development software and financial modeling tools. Deep knowledge of zoning, land use regulations, and permitting processes. Ability to work independently and lead remote teams effectively.
