Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their organization on a fully remote basis. You will be responsible for the design, planning, and oversight of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, including transportation networks, water and wastewater systems, and urban development. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in structural analysis, hydraulic modeling, site development, and project management within the civil engineering domain. You will leverage advanced design software and analytical tools to develop innovative and sustainable solutions, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Key responsibilities include leading design teams, conducting feasibility studies, preparing detailed engineering designs and construction documents, and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with a Master's degree in a relevant specialization highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure engineering is essential, with demonstrated experience in project leadership and client management. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is mandatory. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are paramount. The ability to work independently, manage multiple complex projects concurrently, and provide expert technical direction remotely is critical for success. Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of complex civil infrastructure projects, including transportation, water/wastewater, and site development. Perform structural analysis, hydraulic modeling, and geotechnical assessments. Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications. Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and environmental reviews. Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle. Review and approve construction plans and specifications. Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technologies and best practices. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in a relevant specialization is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory. Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing complex infrastructure projects. Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, HEC-RAS). Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting. Experience with client interaction and stakeholder management.
