Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

A leading Telecommunications provider in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US , is actively recruiting for a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join their remote team. This vital role ensures the continuous operation, performance, and availability of our client's extensive network infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving network issues, responding to alerts, and implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime. Key responsibilities include performing initial troubleshooting of network faults, escalating complex issues to senior engineers, documenting network configurations and procedures, and contributing to the improvement of network monitoring tools and processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with at least 3-5 years of experience working in a Network Operations Center or a similar network support role. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking vendors, along with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) is essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities, are required. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from your home office. You must possess a stable internet connection and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the NOC environment.
