RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Plumbers in the service & maintenance of commercial, multi-family residential & light industrial mechanical systems.
- Help solve complex leak investigations, backflow testing, PRV analysis, drainage service & optimization, pipe infrastructure replacements, fixture repairs, pump diagnostics, and boiler troubleshooting and replacement.
- Troubleshoot & train under the direct supervision of Plumbing Apprentices and Journeypeople.
- Handle plumbing tools and equipment correctly and safely.
- Available to work 8:00AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday and attend occasional overtime call outs.
- Participate in rotating weekly on-call shifts with team member support to satisfy our customers’ needs.
- Work mostly in the lower mainland, with occasional trips to the Fraser Valley and sea to sky corridor.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Experience working with tools.
- Desire to work towards a plumbing apprenticeship.
- Valid Class 5 or 7 driver’s license and able to provide a driver’s abstract.
- Dependable, works well under pressure independently & as part of a team.
- Innately curious to learn, analyze challenging problems & provide top-notch solutions.
- Demonstrates strong written & verbal communication skills with a positive can-do attitude.
- Able to manage stressful situations with customers calmly & effectively.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $25.00/hr. (includes a combined 12% for holiday & vacation pay)
- Additional nine dollars and sixty-one cents per hour in RRSPs + Local 516 Union Membership (after probation)
- Additional pay for Gas A or B tickets, FSR-BR, Cross Connection Control.
