Advertising Internship (Summer)

Washingtonian Magazine, the area’s award winning monthly lifestyle publication, is offering a paid advertising internship. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and have the ability to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Candidate will be heavily-involved with the magazine's record-setting Top Real Estate Agents project – a star on candidate's future résumé. Compensation is $18/hr. Convince the Real Estate Advertising Director that you're the best person for the job.

Duties Include:

• Support sales team by preparing and maintaining spreadsheets, lists, and files
• Manage large volume of advertising proofs
• Provide exemplary service to advertising clients
• Work at the magazine's occasional in-person events as requested

Skills/Experience:

• Strong and adaptable interpersonal skills and ability to work with a full range of clients and personalities.
• Experience using a sales CRM/database preferred.
• High competency in MS office, particularly Word and Excel.

Schedule:

Begin on or about May 4, end on or about July 24. 5 hours daily M-F except for May 26-June 16. During that period: 8 hours daily M-F, inclusive of some evening hours (from home) required to catch up on emails, spreadsheets, and ad proofs. Combination of in-office and work from home.
