Inventory & Finance Analyst

About the role

We are hiring a Senior Analyst to manage and optimize inventory and accounting workflows across ERP and eCommerce systems. The role focuses on strong fundamentals in inventory accounting, system understanding, and process ownership rather than specific software certifications.

The candidate will work across systems like Cin7, accounting platforms, and eCommerce integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete inventory lifecycle from purchase to returns, ensuring smooth flow across GRN, storage, sales, and reverse logistics
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation using FIFO or Weighted Average methods
• Identify, investigate, and resolve stock discrepancies and valuation mismatches
• Support periodic stock audits and perform detailed inventory reconciliations
• Ensure accurate accounting of COGS, inventory assets, and GRN clearing/accrual entries
• Work on accounting platforms like Xero or QuickBooks Online for inventory-related transactions
• Assist in month-end closing activities with inventory schedules and reports
• Prepare and share monthly MIS reports with relevant insights
• Operate and manage ERP/inventory systems such as Cin7, Tally, Zoho Inventory, NetSuite, SAP B1, or similar tools
• Maintain product master data, pricing structures, BOMs, and system configurations
• Validate system transactions against actual business processes and flag inconsistencies
• Understand and manage order flows from platforms like Shopify and Amazon (FBA/FBM)
• Reconcile sales data, platform fees, and payouts; exposure to tools like A2X is an added advantage
• Coordinate with 3PL partners and warehouse management systems
• Identify gaps in existing inventory and accounting processes and recommend improvements
• Strengthen documentation, SOPs, and internal controls
• Support automation initiatives and system enhancement efforts
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients on system implementations and process optimizations
• Assist in requirement gathering, testing, and validation of solutions
• Track issues, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones

Education

CMA (Inter / Final) or Semi-qualified CA (CA Inter cleared)

• Experience

•

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, inventory, or ERP-related roles
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting including COGS, valuation methods, and stock movement
• Knowledge of the impact of inventory on basic financial statements
• Hands-on experience with any ERP or inventory management system (tool-agnostic)
• Strong Excel skills, especially for data reconciliation and analysis
• Good understanding of business processes beyond just accounting entries
• Ability to connect operational activities with their accounting and financial impact
