Job Title: Plant HR Manager – FMCG Manufacturing Unit (Sonipat (Rai)
Reports To: Head – Human Resources (Corporate)
Experience Range: 5-10 Years
Industry Preference: FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Consumer Goods
Role Summary
- The role of Plant HR Manager is a key on-ground Key position, responsible for driving all HR, IR, and compliance operations at Nutraj’s manufacturing unit.
- The incumbent will act as a link between the Plant Leadership and the Corporate HR team, ensuring smooth people operations, statutory compliance, labor cost control, and an agile HR support system aligned with business priorities.
- The role demands a highly hands-on, process-oriented professional, capable of working in a dynamic FMCG environment and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
- Lead recruitment for plant-based positions—blue-collar, contractual, and staff-level roles.
- Manage employee deployment in coordination with production requirements.
- Drive on-boarding, induction, and manpower planning for all categories of workforce.
- Identify manpower gaps proactively and suggest optimization measures.
2. Contractual Labor Management
- Oversee hiring of contractual workforce via approved vendors.
- Ensure 100% compliance of contractor documents (licenses, PF, ESIC, wage registers, challans, etc.).
- Verify and approve contractor bills monthly with zero discrepancies.
- Monitor labor deployment, attendance, and weekly duty rosters.
3. Time Office & Attendance Management
- Supervise daily attendance, overtime, and leave records.
- Manage Time Office operations using digital systems and ensure accuracy in data capture.
- Conduct weekly audits of attendance and overtime, ensuring policy adherence and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and present monthly manpower & overtime MIS to Plant Head and Corporate HR.
4. Payroll & Compliance Management
- Validate monthly attendance inputs and process payroll accurately.
- Ensure timely remittance of PF, ESIC, LWF, and other statutory contributions.
- Maintain zero non-compliance record with labor authorities.
- Drive factory act–related statutory registers, audits, and license renewals.
5. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement
- Maintain positive employee relations through transparent and proactive engagement.
- Manage grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and support in IR interventions.
- Partner with HODs to maintain harmonious industrial climate at plant.
- Organize periodic welfare and engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
6. Cost Management & MIS Reporting
- Control and monitor labor cost, overtime, and welfare expenditure within budget.
- Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly HR & MIS dashboards for management review.
- Support continuous cost optimization initiatives and productivity improvement.
7. Plant Administration
- Oversee plant administration functions—canteen, transport, housekeeping, security, pest control, waste management, etc.
- Manage plant security agency operations including night shifts and gate operations.
- Lead staff welfare programs and ensure compliance with the welfare policy.
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits and coordinate statutory inspections.
8. Statutory Licensing & Government Liaison
- Responsible for timely renewals of factory license, fire NOC, pollution board license, and other plant-related statutory permits.
- Liaison with government departments for inspections, documentation, and reporting.

- Strong knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in time office, payroll, and contract labor management.
- Excellent coordination skills between plant, vendors, and corporate stakeholders.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with flair for numbers and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a high-paced FMCG environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills for managing workforce dynamics.
Educational Qualification
- MBA / PGDM in HR from a recognized institute (preferably full-time).
- Engineering or science background would be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
