Senior Data Platform Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to shape data storage, processing, and orchestration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve platform components based on Iceberg-backed data storage

Establish and enforce data contracts, including standards for data schemas and lifecycle management

Own orchestration patterns and guide distributed processing workloads scheduling and monitoring

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data platform, data engineering, or platform engineering roles

Deep expertise in AWS-based data architectures and cloud-native system design

Experience designing and operating distributed data processing systems, such as Spark

Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala applied to large production-grade systems

Proven ability to design and own CI/CD pipelines and production operations for platform systems
