Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Technician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems across various sites. Your expertise will help drive the transition to sustainable energy solutions while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge solar technology in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties

  • Install solar panels, inverters, wiring, and related electrical components following blueprints and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to ensure accurate system setup
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
  • Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and other construction site tools to complete installations safely and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing solar systems to optimize performance
  • Collaborate with construction teams on site setup, including roofing work and fixture installation
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for material handling on construction sites
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling of high voltage electrical systems
  • Assist with plumbing tasks related to system drainage or water cooling if required for specific projects

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a commercial electrician or in electrical construction projects involving high voltage systems
  • Strong knowledge of NEC standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation and electrical wiring practices
  • Hands-on experience with fixture installation, roofing work, plumbing (preferred), and use of hand tools and power tools
  • Construction site experience working on large-scale projects involving solar or other renewable energy systems
  • Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment safely (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques for both high voltage and low voltage systems
  • Prior experience working on roofing projects or in environments requiring roofing skills is highly desirable
