As we expand our international footprint, we’re looking for an Ocean Freight Manager to take ownership of and scale our ocean freight operations across imports and exports.

🧭 About the Role

This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing our ocean freight function end-to-end.

You will manage both import and export operations, ensuring efficient execution, compliance, and strong client experience across global shipments.

You’ll work alongside an existing team of Ocean Import & Export Specialists, helping bring alignment, structure, and scalability to a growing operation.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end ocean freight operations (FCL & LCL) across imports and exports
• Ensure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations (CBP, ISF, AES, etc.)
• Coordinate with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, resolving issues and maintaining service quality
• Lead and support a team of Ocean Import & Export Specialists, driving performance and consistency
• Develop and standardize SOPs to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Track key operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Sales to support new business and international account growth

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of ocean freight experience within a freight forwarder, NVOCC, or 3PL
• Strong experience in ocean imports, exports, or both
• Solid understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and processes
• Experience coordinating international shipments and working with overseas partners
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

⭐ Important Note

Experience across both imports and exports is highly preferred.

However, we are open to strong candidates with deep expertise in ocean imports who are ready to expand their scope and take ownership of the broader ocean freight function.
