Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Editor specializing in Social Studies & Humanities for a full-time, on-site role located in Delhi, India. The Editor will be responsible for developing and curating high-quality content for textbooks and supplementary materials in the Social Studies and Humanities fields. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and editing manuscripts, collaborating with authors and subject matter experts, ensuring content aligns with curriculum guidelines, and maintaining quality standards. Additional responsibilities may involve proofreading, fact-checking, and overseeing the production process to ensure timely delivery of publishing projects.

Qualifications

• Strong editing, proofreading, and content review skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in curriculum development and aligning content with academic guidelines
• Proficiency in Social Studies and Humanities subject matter knowledge
• Project management skills to coordinate publishing timelines and collaborate with authors, designers, and other stakeholders
• Familiarity with educational pedagogy and trends in the Indian education sector is a plus
• Written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in other regional languages is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and publishing tools
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Studies, Humanities, Education, or a related field
• Relevant editorial or publishing experience, ideally within the education sector
