CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant 7a-3p Shift and 3p-11p Shift

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality care to residents in assisted living and memory care settings. As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, as well as familiarity with electronic health record systems such as ECP.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and document vital signs regularly to assess residents' health status.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Assist in the management of medication inventory and report any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide support to residents during daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding medication management and resident care.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in assisted living or memory care environments, is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs is essential.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
