Associate Software Engineer, Release Engineer

Role Overview:

Veeva Systems is seeking a Release Engineer to be part of their expanding team in Hyderabad. As a Release Engineer, you will collaborate with Engineering and Technical Operations to facilitate the current release and change management processes. Your responsibilities will include managing deployment activities for each sprint, utilizing CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and JIRA regularly, and ensuring effective communication with onshore managers and team leads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Operations to support the existing release and change management process
• Manage deployment activities for each sprint
• Utilize CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA on a daily basis
• Communicate status updates and collaborate with onshore managers and team leads

Qualifications Required:

• 1+ years of experience in software release engineering/test automation
• Basic knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, preferably in an onshore/offshore model
• Basic understanding of Linux, scripting languages (e.g., Python, bash, ruby, groovy), and CICD
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI
• Exposure to version control systems like Git
• Awareness of containerization tools such as Docker or AWS cloud platforms
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
