Finance Manager (6 month contract)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Manager, Corporate Accounting to oversee corporate accounting operations, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and support the month-end and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee general ledger (GL) accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP
• Manage corporate consolidations and support external audit requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
• Provide variance analysis and commentary on financial results for senior leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams
• Support system implementations and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• CPA designation required
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Proven ability to manage tight deadlines across multiple close cycles
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Public accounting background an asset
