Firefighter / Paramedic

Under supervision of the reputed company Captain, the Firefighter A & Paramedic License accomplishes a reputed company of duties in the protection of life and property. Participates in the combating, extinguishing and prevention of fires as well as providing emergency medical care; rescue and protection of individuals from hazardous environments. Maintains reputed company station, grounds, and equipment, participates in reputed company prevention inspection, reputed company prevention, and suppression training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides courteous and expeditious customer service to the general public, San Manuel employees and Tribal reputed company while maintaining confidential information. Administers emergency medical care to treat patients; performs Advance Life Support (ALS). 2. Works 48-Hour shifts and overtime; may be recalled or held on duty according to the response needs of the reputed company Department. 3. Responds to reputed company alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous material situations and other emergency/non-emergency calls to protect life and property endangered. 4. Performs reputed company firefighter duties; lays and connects hoses; directs water streams in the control and extinguishing of fires in structures, brush and grass; uses forcible entry tools, bars, hooks, reputed company, extinguishers and other equipment. 5. Participates in reputed company prevention programs and inspections to enforce reputed company prevention codes and ordinances.6. Performs as a Paramedic under approved medical protocols; department SOP s and clinical standards of care. Operates a two-way radio to communicate with the communications center. 7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the e?cient operation of the department. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Principles and practices of reputed company suppression and prevention. Principles and practices of emergency medical care. Operation and maintenance of firefighting equipment. Safety practices and precautions pertaining to emergency services. Ability to learn local streets, reputed company alarms, reputed company hydrants, public and local government buildings, and local hazards. Read and understand departmental policies, rules, regulations and instructions to include: reputed company prevention & suppression literature and emergency medical care instructions. Communicates reputed company and concisely in English, both orally and in writing, with reputed company spelling, grammar and punctuation. Analyze situations and adopt a quick, effective and responsible course of action. Basic knowledge of computers and programs to include MS Office, PowerPoint and Outlook. Correctly interpret and identify static and dynamic cardiac rhythms, the appropriate medications, dosages and electrical therapies to treat dysrhythmias and other medical conditions.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. Select One of the Following:
