Job Title: Senior Production Supervisor

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Location: Additional MIDC Satara

Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary

The Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and optimal utilization of resources. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of production processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet output targets.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operators, technicians, and junior supervisors.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure clear communication of targets and priorities.
• Evaluate team performance and provide training and development support.

Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve production-related defects.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, Kaizen.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements.
• Monitor KPIs like productivity, rejection rate, downtime, and OEE.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment and conduct safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure timely preventive maintenance of equipment.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily production reports and shift logs.
• Analyze production data and present reports to management.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (preferably in transmission/automotive components)
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in gear, transmission, or precision component manufacturing
• Familiarity with CNC machining / assembly lines (if applicable)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹9,504.63 - ₹35,599.67 per month
